Glioma (Low-grade glioma)

Gliomas arise from the brain's support cells (astrocytes or oligodendroglia). Low-grade gliomas grow more slowly and are less invasive but often go undetected until they reach a considerable size.

Because they often blend into normal brain tissue, precise surgical removal is critical.

Treatments

  • Microsurgery – Removal of the tumor while preserving brain function.

  • Advanced Imaging & Mapping – Used during surgery to differentiate tumor from healthy tissue.

  • Post-Surgical Monitoring – Continuous evaluation to determine if additional therapies are necessary.

Each glioma requires an individualized approach to balance removal and brain function preservation.
